<description>Councilmember Clutterbuck: I do not live in the area that is at the heart of all this but I am a native Houstonian and have been in and around that area throughout my entire life (52 yrs). I have an incredibly hard time understanding why the voices of the residents in the immediate area are being so blatantly ignored. They live there, they raise their children there, they have retired there, they PAY THE TAXES that support so many other venues in the city. Why has concrete suddenly become such an "endangered species" that we feel the need to rip every "stray" tree or spring of grass up and cover it with concrete? Does anyone involved in any of this have any clue about the environmental damages they're suggesting that everyone just give in to?

Please listen to the residents you supposedly represent and listen to your heart.
Sincerely,
Kimberlee Daniels McElfresh
